We're looking to sublet our lovely, light-strewn, fully furnished 2BR/2BA apartment, which is just two blocks from one of the best parks in Los Angeles and located in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. We have a small child and he just loves the neighborhood, which has a pedestrian aspect lacking in much of Los Angeles.
The apartment has a great 'feel' to it: it has an open plan in the entertaining areas, so there's great flow between living room, dining area, and kitchen. We've done much entertaining here -- parties with between ten and sixty people -- and it's been perfect for that. It's also very classic and stylish -- with lovely molding, hardwood floors, and nicely comfortable furniture throughout.
The apartment includes:
* A huge kitchen with breakfast nook, two ovens, two sinks, microwave, and all the kitchen appurtenances you could ask for.
* An incredibly spacious living room, which includes an area for entertaining (and entertainment center), an area for dining, and an office nook.
* Two equally-sized, spacious bedrooms, each with wall-length closets that have built-in shelving.
* Two bathrooms, one with bath and shower and one with shower.
* A parking space in a garage just in back of the apartment, and a permit for an additional car
We pay $2400/month (not including utilities and cable), so are asking for the same. I'm a professor who'll be out of town for the fall and spring, so we'd prefer to sublet from August 15 through May 30, or (less preferably) from August 15 through sometime in December, but are somewhat flexible on the dates.
