Exquisitely quiet two-bedroom, one-bath apartment in a beautiful art deco building with leafy forest views out the living room and master bedroom windows.
Our building is immediately adjacent to the sweeping river views of Fort Tryon Park, and to the 190th Street station of the A train, which offers express service to Midtown Manhattan in just 25 minutes.
It is unusually quiet here because there is concrete insulation between both floors below and the ceiling above, and because we live at the back of the building (not facing the street), and our windows overlook a tranquil forested area.
This neighborhood is wonderfully calm and walkable. Just walk a few blocks south on Fort Washington to reach multiple grocery stores, a pharmacy, restaurants, banks, an art studio, a top-notch bakery, a wine store and coffee shops. Across the street from our apartment is a recently renovated park that includes a basketball court, playground, and public fitness workout area.
The apartment is less than a block from majestic Fort Tryon Park with its famous vistas of the Hudson River, three seasonal gardens, wooded promenades, terraces, eight miles of pedestrian paths and the world-famous Cloisters Museum (part of the Met Museum).
The master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed (both are high-quality pillow-top Sealy mattresses). There are two height-adjustable ergonomic desks (one in the foyer, and one in the master bedroom), each paired with an ergonomic office chair.
The kitchen includes a pressure cooker, toaster oven, microwave, pots, pans dishes, and all the spices and tools you need to cook a delicious meal.
We are interested in finding a highly conscientious subletter who is willing to eat only in the dining area and keep the kitchen clean.
